A little bit goes a long way.

The picture of success that we have in our mind is grand, impressive and dreamy. We think of ourselves standing on the top step of the podium, a medal on our chest, our family smiling in the stands or the audience cheering our name. These images can become reality if we want it and try, but not overnight. What we don’t think about is the process it takes for someone to get there, the effort and time they have to spend and when we get into the process of thinking about all this we get disappointed.

But, “Rome wasn’t built in a day”, it’s all the small pieces of the puzzle that will come together one by one and complete the big picture, the one we have in mind. Small daily goals such as a proper warm-up, a strong lifting workout, a healthy meal between workouts, a tip from the coach that we will note or a correct execution of a challenging movement will gradually lead us to improve.

Learn to be consistent every day in the process of evolution, to take small steady steps in one direction, to value your small daily successes, to look for them and to be motivated by them. All these small successes will lead you to the top.
